Shoes
The path is mostly on pebbled road, with short tracks in the wood and on the grass. We suggest you to wear comfortable shoes like sneakers or light trekking shoes.
Getting there
The trail is between Olcio and Somana (Comune di Mandello del Lario) on the East Coast of Como Lake.
• by car: from Milano by the SS 36 after Lecco exit right onto Abbadia Lariana. After Mandello you will find Olcio. At the end of the village, park at left after Ristorante Aquaduulza.
From Sondrio or Saint Moritz, after Varenna and Lierna you will find a sign 'Mandello del Lario'. Park at right.
• by train: hourly departures from all the railways stations along the line Lecco-Sondrio, get off at Olcio. Timetable website trenord
• by foot: from the Sentiero del viandante, starting from Lierna and turning at 'Saioli' (ask) or from Mandello and turning to Olcio at Somana (ask)
